What we’re fighting for:
Affordable Housing – Ward 3 was recently the recipient of the Hud Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant Award of $30 Million.
- Partner with HUD ensuring the delegation of incentives that will bring additional workforce to this area.
- Expand and improve tenant protections through the Tenant Bill of Rights.
- Take a housing first approach that gets people rehabilitated homes, upgraded homes and into homes immediately and coordinating services for the homeless.
- Taking the first step in having stable housing and racial housing equity.
- More efficiently coordinate services for people experiencing near homelessness due to housing insecurity since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Social Justice – as a member of the LBGTQ community, I stand to represent and support equality in all social justice matters.
- Continue to protect, expand, and represent the movement for LBGTQ rights.
- Organize, highlight and bring awareness to local racial disparities, advocate for mental health organizations and continue to campaign for human rights.
- Due to the 38% percent population growth seen in Fort Myers, focus on ensuring that city commission districts see equal redistricting of populations and equal distribution of resources.
- Maintain compliance with the United States Constitution and The Voting Rights Act by promoting voting initiatives for residents.
Environment
- Create strong regulations that support the Clean Water Act and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and encourage citizens to report and identify any illicit discharges.
- Partner and Support the Pollution Prevention P2 program, helping to incentivize businesses to reduce, reuse and recycle their hazardous waste economically.
Better jobs & Higher wages
- Partner with the Florida Economic Development Council, CareerSource Florida and local LWDBs (Local Workforce Development Boards) to ensure there are comprehensive and ongoing approaches to promote economic recovery for unemployment and layoffs.
- Gather data, analyze data and prepare strategic planning and management for economic change to ensure that city residents have access to job training programs that can lead to middle class careers.
- Secure funding for businesses that are owned by the local community dwellers.
- Promote incentives for businesses to raise wages
- Support Fort Myers 2.8% decrease in unemployment by incentivizing the continuous gaining of jobs in construction, leisure and hospitality areas, with more areas to follow.
